Manila, Philippines - A filipina nurse from Saudi Arabia was tested of having (MERS-CoV) Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus and now confined at Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) in Muntinlupa City.
She's now in stable condition and resting although she is being treated for cough, According to Dr. Lyndon Lee Suy of the Department of Health's National Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
Her Husband was Examined too.
The country is no longer free from the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) It was the first case of the disease in the Philippines According to DOH.
Last year, two OFWs who arrived from the Middle East were diagnosed with MERs-CoV after undergoing tests in their host countries. Both patients, however, tested negative of the disease after their arrival in the Philippines.
Although we can prevent the disease by just keeping your environment clean and don't forget to wash your hands.
